GOAL
The goal was to create a series of podcasts that looked at world news, stories and topics through Gen Zs' perspectives, to get their voice heard. The youth lives in a world where they are forced to hear the opinions of millennials and Gen Xers. The outcome was to ensure that the most impartial opinions of Gen Z’s are portrayed in the podcast so that their voice could be heard.
Personal and cultural expression
In the IB, Personal and Cultural Expression exhibits how we develop and express and reflect on ideas, feelings, beliefs and values. The global context drove my project forward by enabling me to explore the overall idea and feelings of individuals on the topic, news or story rather than trying to portray specific individual opinions. Opinions are developed from the beliefs and values of people and hence this global context captures the essence of the project commendably. The global context teaches how the differences in personal and the general opinions can cause a conflict and the grave importance of acceptance of different ideas.
Reintroducing feminismFeminism has become a very controversial topic in today's world, with ever person having a different meaning for the word. The lack of knowledge on the subject has created a diverse group of people who believe in different meanings of feminism. So, when everything is already jumbled, what if we reintroduce this concept to the world? Will it get people talking again? I believe we can make a difference. Don't you?
